Post a Position

Post a position internally and/or externally for a new or existing position for all employee groups (labor represented, Civil Service, P&A, undergraduate students, faculty, etc.).

The Talent Acquisition Center of Expertise will provide full-cycle recruiting for labor represented (Clerical, Health Care, Police, Service & Maintenance and Technical), Civil Service, and P&A (non-teaching) positions to help source applicants.

To get started

  • Make sure you have all approvals in your campus, unit, or department.
  • Make sure your position description is updated and complete.
  • When ready to post a position, click the Request Service button on the right sidebar.

Hire an Employee

When a verbal offer has been extended and accepted by the candidate you may begin the final stages of the hiring process.

It is required for all positions to submit the Request to Hire an Employee.

For Labor Represented, Civil Service and Non-teaching P&A positions, Staffing Operations will create and send offer letters for labor represented (Clerical, Health Care, Police, Service & Maintenance and Technical), Civil Service, and P&A (non-teaching) positions. This information is gathered within the Hire an Employee TDX. Units are responsible for creating and sending offer letters for all other employee groups (temp/casuals, undergraduate students, faculty, graduate assistants, teaching specialists, etc.).

For all positions, Staffing Operations will initiate and complete a background check for all employee groups. Requestors can provide the type of background check needed for each candidate in the Hire an Employee TDX.

To get started

  • You will need a verbal acceptance from the candidate.
  • Make sure you have all approvals in your campus, unit, or department.
  • Talent Acquisition Center of Expertise will disposition all candidates for labor represented (Clerical, Health Care, Police, Service & Maintenance and Technical), Civil Service and P&A (non-teaching) positions. For all other employee groups, you will need to complete the dispositioning of candidates in Recruiting Solutions.
  • When ready to hire an employee, click the Request Service button on the right sidebar.

Summer Appointment

A Summer Appointment is an appointment that falls within the dates of one or more of the May or Summer Sessions/Terms (dates may vary by campus) and are temporary in nature.

To get started

  • They must be a Current Employee with an active job record.
  • Review HRMS Summer Appointment Overview for Faculty.
  • You will need a verbal acceptance from the candidate.
  • Make sure you have all approvals in your campus, unit, or department.
  • When ready to initiate a Summer appointment, click the Request Service button on the right sidebar.
