Hire an Employee

When a verbal offer has been extended and accepted by the candidate you may begin the final stages of the hiring process.

It is required for all positions to submit the Request to Hire an Employee.

For Labor Represented, Civil Service and Non-teaching P&A positions, Staffing Operations will create and send offer letters for labor represented (Clerical, Health Care, Police, Service & Maintenance and Technical), Civil Service, and P&A (non-teaching) positions. This information is gathered within the Hire an Employee TDX. Units are responsible for creating and sending offer letters for all other employee groups (temp/casuals, undergraduate students, faculty, graduate assistants, teaching specialists, etc.).

For all positions, Staffing Operations will initiate and complete a background check for all employee groups. Requestors can provide the type of background check needed for each candidate in the Hire an Employee TDX.
