The HR TDX Authorization Documentation Form is an optional and customizable form that streamlines how approvals for HR requests are managed. Use this form to document authorizations within your campus or college before submitting the TDX form.
This optional step can be used for process documentation, approval, and notifications for the following forms:
- Post a Position
- Hire an Employee
- Person of Interest
- Modify Appointment

Workflow features
- Authorization Levels: The form supports up to five levels of authorization defined by your campus, college, unit, or department’s existing processes.
- Notifications: Each designated authorizer will receive a notification with the request details and an option to authorize.
- Visibility: This optional form provides transparency to relevant groups, such as Finance, to track HR requests that can impact campus, college, or unit budgets.
- Comments Field: Authorizers can use the comments field to provide additional context or important information related to the request, such as ChartField Strings and distribution of funding information.
This form ensures all necessary authorizations are collected and documented efficiently within TDX, providing a streamlined approach to managing HR TDX requests. Simply include the ID number of the completed HR Optional Authorization Form when submitting the related HR TDX request to reflect the connection between the authorizations and the HR TDX request.
To get started
- Determine who must authorize this request based on your campus, college, or unit policies and practices.
- Collect any documents that need to be attached to the authorization request. Note: Do not attach documents with private data to this request.
- Avoid entering private data into your TDX request, including comments or attachments.
- Click the Request Service button on the right sidebar to start a request when you are ready.
