Mass Changes

Mass transactions help streamline the review and entry of similar personnel actions for many employees instead of submitting individual requests. Mass transactions may be requested for:

  • Supervisor changes
  • Recalling or suspending graduate students
  • Compensation changes
  • Starting and ending work breaks
  • Entering performance review dates
  • Position changes due to reorganization
  • Layoffs
  • Background checks
  • Hires that do not need a new position number (cloning position number can be accepted) NOTE: To comply with VEVRAA, all positions, including temporary and casual positions, must be posted.
  • Expected Job End Date
  • Summer Appointments
  • Other mass changes

Note: Each type of request should be submitted on separate tickets as there are different workflows and HROps teams associated with the type selected. For example, Hires and Terminations should be submitted on separate tickets.

To get started

  • Run appropriate reports or queries from the Reporting Center to assist with file preparation.
  • Prepare the spreadsheet with desired changes and attach the file to the request.
  • Follow internal processes for budget review and approval.
  • Identify if there are any changes to the ChartField String related to your request, including Additional Pay requests. If you answer “Yes” to questions on the form related to ChartField Strings, your request will route to FinOps Payroll Accounting.  
  • Avoid entering private data into your TDX request, including comments or attachments. 
  • When ready to submit your request, click the Request Service button on the right sidebar to start a request with HR.
